Reconnecting with What Prevents Us From Connecting

We connect however we can. Over quarantine, those connections happened almost exclusively between sheets of glass; our phones, computers, and screens, between windows to see friends and behind sheets of glass wherever we had to interact with someone else - whether it be at a restaurant, grocery store, and even the DMV. As restrictions eased and the world eventually began settling back into its regular rhythm, it wasn't its regular rhythm anymore. Life had been permanently changed. As we go about our days now, still in the throes of a pandemic, we struggle to reconnect with what life used to be. We feel safer behind our screens, behind the glass, and it's up to us to unlearn what prevents us from connecting..
