Ferns are ancient, predating even the dinosaurs. For eons they have flourished through rhizomatic growth. A rhizome is an underground network of roots that give rise to the next generation. These creeping root stalks support entire communities of ferns which emerge from the darkness, uncurl toward the light, and flourish. We can learn from these ancient, resilient beings.
