In Puerto Rico, when we say “cheers” we say salud, which literally means “health.” I’am considered “poor” because of my economic reality, my hand is the one on the left holding the “cheaper” mug, on the right is my colleague who is from a ”higher” social class. We farm together sine 2016. My friend and her family have been helping me so that I can stay home, because I work as a street performer. The plants in the mugs are turmeric and ginger, two of our main crops and great for these times of Covid. So the message is based on my experience: Some people need help to be able to stay home, if you know someone that does and can help, help them! And we need to know that medicine can be grown and above all... Salud!! This drawing is done with prismacolor pencils.
