I wanted this to represent the difference of childhood to becoming a teenager as well as representing the connecting with your inner child as a young adult. I think that as a teenager, it is common to want to create a new self identity and reject who you ‘used to be’. As I begin my journey into becoming an adult, I have realized how important it is to accept all of yourself and connect with all of yourself instead of forcing myself to be someone new.
