Self-Care, Culture, Love
The artwork is about embracing the beauty of your culture as a tool for self-care, empowerment, and love for your communities. It depicts a Quetzalcoatl (feathered serpent), associated with beauty and knowledge in Mexica/Mexican culture; also, monarch butterflies in reference to migrant communities, many of them doing essential work, like growing food. Besides, it has a heart and a fist, as symbols of love and struggle for a better life for all of us after coronavirus!
