Smash the Stigma
The stigma surrounding mental illness is gigantic. People who have mental illness may feel ashamed because many people associate the word mental illness with something that is to be feared. Not only in times likes these, but all the time, people deserve love and understanding. I created this graffiti-style piece as a symbol of faith to show those struggling that they can survive, and I also included the yellow tulip to symbolize hope. The Yellow Tulip Project is a youth-based organization that I support and their mission is to smash this stigma. I received much of my inspiration and passion to end this stigma through them.
