Drawing attention to self-care and wellness during our lockdowns as there has been an explosion of people all over the globe having to keep fit and sane in their own homes. The ‘Namaste’ hand gesture or ‘Añjali Mudrā’ was used for two reasons. 1. Representing yoga, meditation & wellness as these practices become an increasingly useful way to keep us physically and mentally well during isolation. 2. It links to the Covid19 pandemic more directly by making reference to the ‘Covid Handshake’ adopted by our global leaders to replace the more traditional greeting in an attempt to reduce the spread of the virus.
