Stop in The Name of Love
STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE 8”x10” oil painting canvas mounted on board This painting Is dedicated to all the nurses, doctors, and front line workers we honor by adhering to social distancing protocols. In solidarity we stay home, cover our faces, and other guidelines to give healthcareworkers a fighting chance. We are not losing our civil liberties, we are being civilized helping the most vulnerable in our population. Specifically this painting is dedicated to hero Dr. Lorna Breen one of our first responders in New York, who was not protected from the emotional and mental devastation caused by this disease. Dr. Breen, 49, did not have a history of mental illness, yet took her own life yesterday. Breen who contracted and recovered from Covid19, was back at work but seemed detached, her family knew something was wrong. She described an onslaught of patients who were dying before they could even be taken out of ambulances. These images haunted her. She was truly in the trenches of the front line. I praise her as a hero and a casualty of this horrid pandemic..
