Being a logo designer working with indigenous African design systems, I saw this call for ‘symbols that help promote mental health, well-being, and social change work during these stressful times,’ to be very timely and also shows empathy towards the world’s grieve about the COVID-19. I am convinced that, solidarity among ourselves is not only needful but also a must, especially, in trial times like this. I chose an Akan proverb "Baanu soa ɛmmia," which literally means that ‘it is less burdensome when two persons carry a load.’ This is a symbol of solidarity in a world stricken by COVID-19.
