Cruz makes part of the " Embera Chamí" native folk which still conserves their ancestral ways. Their community extends through a Big part of the Colombian territory Some time ago I visited Cruz at her humble Home, talked to her and shared some thoughts. A wise woman, healer, shaman with a strong link to the earth, the plants and all around her. Home is everything she sees, inhabits the space with consciousness and takes care of it, uses only what she needs, farms the land and her medicine is natural, her house is the perfect place for life. This drawing, departs from a photograph i Made at her place and represents a whole culture which stands in spite of new standard ways that tend to impose over the Embera and other similar communities.
