My name is Brandon Campos and I'm a painter from the United States. The paintings I create use images from disparate sources bringing them out of the original context they were intended for, and attempts to give them a new perspective. The oil painting "The Sacrament" is a copy of a painting by Rogier Van Der Weyden with an image of a hospital patient painted within the scene of the dying man and religious figures. During this Pandemic we are seeing more and more people be destined for long hospital visits, our loved ones and potentially ourselves. In depicting this scene I hope to bring the struggles of the victims of this virus into a new perspective so that we can continue helping however we can.
