According to an article in The New York Times, written by Amanda Taub, the current quarantine measures around the world have increased the number of domestic abuse cases. Not only women and dissident bodies are locked up with their abusers but also the economical circumstances and major financial setbacks, caused by the pandemic, give rise to personal crises for the abusers, intensifying the risk of murders. While we focus on keeping one virus outside our homes and our bodies, we need to eliminate from our system and minds another one: the heteropatriarchy. The cure is deconstruction.
