For 500 years indigenous communities have been resisting and defending themselves against the structural genocide of especially black and indigenous POC. Today, as we fight to survive the Corona virus, these efforts are nothing new. I created this piece to serve as a reminder to my fellow indigenous folk and all others that our ancestors blessed us their resilience, tools, and wisdom to make it through. It is also a reminder to call on patience and kindness, for ourselves and for others. It is together that we survive. It is together that we rebuild.
