UniFist Bump

Acrylic on canvas This piece was painted Live during a def Poetry Jam Reunion show at Jackson State University March 2020. This was the very last live performance that I had the honor of painting. Before, during and after the show, I greeted the familiar and strangers with a fist bump as I mentioned the looming COVID 19. I had no clue we would be at this point on April 1, 2020. The fist bump is an alternative to a hand shake or hug. It also represents community and unity as represented by the abstract cityscape scene.
