Access to vaccine by priority of status and opportunity between developed and poor countries was unequal during the Covid-19 pandemic. The CEO of the World Health Organization pointed to this fact and urged rich countries to share vaccine stocks with poor countries, and also urged pharmaceutical companies to share technology and abandon vaccine patents.
