Now is the time to push for greener transport that also allows people to safely remain apart. Commuting by bike allows for physical distancing while reducing emissions. While there are fewer cars on the roads, this is an opportune time to create improved cycling infrastructure, starting with quickly designating cycle lanes on existing roads. Governments need to fund cycle paths and incentivize bike commuting.
