In honor of my mom, Heide, who is working on the front lines in many different ways during this pandemic. She’s a nurse working on a floor with positive patients fighting for their lives. She’s a teacher bringing her nursing students to the testing sites so they can get their clinical hours to graduate and join the front the lines. She’s the primary caregiver to her 91 year old stepfather who has a myriad of conditions. She’s the wife to a husband with a lung condition. And she’s mom to me, an artist who is trying to pivot in as many ways as I possibly can to keep myself afloat, sane, inspired, and hopeful.
