In this 80s neoexpressionism inspired work, I wanted to evoke joy, diversity and harmony alongside the overall message of vaccines for all. As such, each finger is adorned with different colors and design aesthetics while the background echoes this scheme. On the piece are subtle references and messages highlighting the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine as well as its safety and necessity of worldwide distribution. Grasped within the peace sign at the very heart of the artwork is a syringe dripping with the life saving immunity boosting elixir that we all need to free the world from the grip of this potentially decade defining pandemic.
