AMPTP Executive Summit
Please join us at the negotiating table. The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) is facing criticism from writers (WGA) and actors (SAG-AFTRA) who feel that its negotiations with the DGA do not make enough gains. Entertainment unionists have also criticized the AMPTP's contract terms. The AMPTP's member companies include major motion picture studios, broadcast television networks, and streaming services, including Paramount Pictures, Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon. So far, the failed negotiations between the WGA and the AMPTP have left writers frustrated and disappointed. The AMPTP’s unwillingness to address core writer issues has drawn criticism from writers who feel that they are being treated unfairly. However, the WGA remains determined to fight for their rights and support other unions in their negotiations with the AMPTP. The strike continues as writers stand united in their fight for transparency, fairness, and non-exploitation of their work.
