Teen suicide is a growing problem in our society. We can't be having our youth and future killing themselves. The piece shows a broken piece of paper. This represents first, the suicide note that people leave behind. And the reason it's broken, to show the shattering effects suicide has on the people close to the victim. The picture is in black and white to elevate the tone and sadness of suicide and the depression it brings to people. The words “Broken dreams” is there to show that once the person has depression they feel that they don't have anything useful to give to people, they lose all of their dreams.
