I am in pursuit of a change to the treatment of the many immigrant children and families detained and kept in immigration detention facilities. I am in pursuit of this because there is no reason to deny someone of their human rights. Those affected by this issue are innocent; they have not done anything wrong, yet are still treated worse than criminals. I am passionate about this issue because not many people are well educated on this topic. Nevertheless, this should not be overlooked, human rights are being denied, which is not ok under any circumstance.
