This was inspired by my involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement, specifically over the past couple of months. After seeing police brutality numerous times against marginalized communities I was inspired to join the movement and use my privilege to help others, and the power shown in this image further motivated me to make this piece. I believe in the importance of defunding the police and reallocating the money to other programs to benefit these marginalized communities who are affected by police brutality.
