Immigrant justice and immigration reform are social issues that I have personally been involved in at a young age especially being an immigrant myself at the age of 4 from the Dominican Republic. I have been fortunate enough to have my citizenship to the U.S. be guaranteed before I was even born but we need to start having these conversations about immigrants who are coming to seek refuge in what we claim to be "the land of the free."
