Gender Equality is a Human Right
Gender equality is a state in which people are treated equally regardless of their gender. Although, currently this is not the case. Every day, women face discrimination and are judged against different social standards than men. Every day, women have to prove their abilities and strength. They are paid less for the same jobs, bear a larger burden for balancing the demands of work and family, and have to fight for control of their bodies. We fight for our rights everyday, but we shouldn't have to. Equal rights for women are human rights, and should be granted by our constitution and our laws. We must do better as a nation. “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all humans are created equal” and our government should enforce that. - Molly Kirsch
