This piece represents the success I can achieve as a Latina American. People often confine me to a stereotype and many have told me that I don’t belong in this country; that I am not American. One of my big inspirations is Alexandria Oscar Cortez. She has stepped beyond what others have said about her, and accomplished so much. She has helped me step up as a Latina American. I am a leader. I am strong. I deserve to succeed, despite the privileges I don’t have. I am an activist. I will raise my voice. I am a Latina American.
