Clean forms of energy are expensive to manufacture and cheap to run. In most cases the investment will end up saving you money in the long term, but people of lower socioeconomic classes can’t make that investment to begin with. Generally speaking these people are people of color, since they have been pushed down by society the most throughout history. The people who can afford clean energy will be the last hit by climate change, everyone else is already feeling its effects.
