In Pursuit Of Climate Refugee Rights

Though not taught in the US, there are many immigrants coming here due to issues with climate in their home country. These originate mainly from climate change, where rising sea levels and extreme weather can hurt people. However, they are not given the same rights as other refugees and can be turned away at our borders, despite having no home to go back to. These people have nowhere to go, and they come here just to not have refugee status, forcing them to take the mercy of our country- which historically is brutal and unforgiving when with our borders.
