If we look at our mistreatment of the environment, we can see it greatly affects people without housing in that they do not have access to shelter and other resources like other people do. This means that the effects of pollution greatly increase the damage done to the health of unhoused people on top of the systemic issues that housing already brings. The fact that we continue to destroy the environment and people’s health is indicative of our collective apathy towards the issues of homelessness and pollution and should serve to motivate us to change.
