In Pursuit Of Equal Opportunity For Lower Income Families
The cutting of work hours along with job loss following the economic crisis due to covid-19 are adversely affecting working class, lower income families. The difficulty to provide basic necessities predominantly affects marginalized families of color the most. This not only contributes to food insecurity for these families, but also negatively impacts mental health. This is a huge disadvantage to the opportunities and well being of the children of these families.
