In pursuit of justice for environmental racism

Environmental justice is about limiting exposure to toxic compounds in the surroundings of a person's living and working conditions. I am in pursuit of lessening the issues of environmental racism. Black people are some of the most vulnerable populations of people when it comes to neighborhood and community inequalities, especially in their exposure to toxic compounds. Overall, 56% of the US population near toxic waste sites are people of color. To solve issues of environmental racism, we must focus our efforts on reducing water and air pollution so communities of color do not face inequitable and preventable health issues.
