Kao Saelee was a firefighter while imprisoned for 22 years. During this time, he bravely combatted wildfires, which have gotten worse due to climate change. He served his sentence, he was promised to see his family but instead I.C.E. deported him back to Laos. Kao is in his mask and has prison serial number while the trees are on fire. I.C.E. violates environmental justice because they have no respect and justice for all peoples, free from discrimination or bias. They discredited him and treated him like an animal while he risked his life.
