In pursuit of rematriating the land
We need to leave mother nature alone. For far too long, we have disrupted nature. Cultural burnings have been a way for native people to care for the land and its inhabitants. Though these controlled burns were used in a positive way, it is. now illegal in most places. Now, conservation groups try using “prescribed burns” over tens of thousands of acres and it often gets out of hand. Many rural inhabitants are impacted heavily, both economically and physically. By rematriating the land and restoring indigenous practices, we could save countless communities from wildfires.
