As a society, we use an insurmountable amount of electricity. Although electricity is not a non-renewable source of energy, the fossil fuels burned to generate the power necessary, are non-renewable. In order to help prevent the rapid depletion of our non-renewable fossil fuels, we must switch to sustainable forms of energy! By making the switch to methods such as wind turbines and water-powered generators, we ease up on the use of fossil fuels and help the planet avoid further global warming and depletion of resources. To choose sustainable, or not choose sustainable? That is the question.
