In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, discrimination towards people of Asian descent is at an all-time high. Abuse has been verbal, physical, and public, with little to no protection from surrounding onlookers. Government leaders around the world have also, directly and indirectly, encouraged hate speech, racism, and xenophobia. How can we possibly dream for an equitable and sustainable future if we allow these injustices to go unnoticed? It’s crucial that we consider how our current actions around how we treat one another will determine our pursuit of unity, or our further division.
