LISTEN
I was born with hereditary hearing loss. I view my hearing loss as a privilege, not a disability. I love being part of the hard-of-hearing/Deaf community and learning ASL. Because of my hearing loss, I am in pursuit of listening. Hearing is very different from listening. Listening is giving more attention to life; listening requires effort. I am not only in pursuit of listening, but also being listened to. The quiet power of listening can change the world, and so I invite the viewer to listen. (Ideally, this would be presented as an animation, with each letter appearing and disappearing.)
