Why is it that showing affection, especially in America, is viewed as some sort of taboo? Kindness and love are seen as weaknesses, especially with teenagers who think it is embarrassing to express it “too much”. This is why I selected a photograph I took discreetly of my parents at a beach, taking a selfie without giving much thought to the fact other people could have been watching, something that I would find embarrassing to do. With the words “love ain’t lame” I hope to reassure care is never something to be ashamed of for expressing unabashedly.
