Morning Bowl of Death
A 2019 analysis by the Environmental Working Group found that 21 of General Mills' oat-based cereals and snacks were contaminated with glyphosate and all but four products contained levels higher than what EWG scientists consider safe for children. General Mills has responded by saying that these levels do not violate any laws or regulations. This is a typical strategy of displacing responsibility onto a failing legal system. Corporations should have their own system of integrity independent of what the law says, especially since the law is still catching up to the science of glyphosate's deadly impacts.
