My Happy Place
Over the past couple of months, I have been struggling with depression and unable to bring myself out of bed. I often find myself in pursuit of a happy place. I think this is a universal struggle with teenagers right now. It's more difficult than ever to find things that make you genuinely happy. This image shows being able to get outside, of yourself and your room, and feel pure joy. There are stuffed animals to represent imagination, creativity, and even the simpler times where we would spend hours sitting outside playing with stuffed animals. I wanted this image to be a space full of light, joy, and excitement. This is a space where you can be yourself and no one will judge you. This image symbolizes finding what your happy place looks like through creativity and fun.
