No More Deforestation
Fast food giants such as McDonald's play a significant role in tropical deforestation since most of it happens due to North American demand for artificially cheap beef. Over 30 million people live in the Amazon forests, representing more than 350 indigenous groups. These tribes protect 13% of land and have guarded roughly 400 million square miles of the Amazon from exploitation. Tropical deforestation disrupts the lives of indigenous people, sometimes with devastating consequences - they rely on forests for shelter, livelihoods, water, fuel, and food security. It's our duty to pressure fast food companies to reduce beef production and commit to 100% rainforest-free meat!
