Not Your Cash Crop
Name: Zoe Anderson Age: 14 years old Pronoun: she/her Title: Not Your Cash Crop In my creative work submission, “Not Your Cash Crop,” the beauty of the trees in the photo and composition of the text amplify the message that trees shouldn’t be exploited for profit where they are homes to a diverse amount of wildlife. Rather than turning forests into cash crops, we should put an end to deforestation and strive to protect tree biodiversity. The vibrant colors of the photo really show how beautiful nature can be. These stunning ecosystems hold a lot for scientists and aspiring artists, so we shouldn't demolish peoples’ passions for some short-term cash, should we?
