Not Your Land
I have always been interested in photography, but never had the opportunity to officially present or share my passion. More recently, I became comfortable in my identity as an LGBTQ+ person and got involved in other areas of activism because I learned nobody is equal until everyone is equal. For this project, I originally focused on LGBTQ activism, but then started finding images that inspired me in unexpected ways. I decided on a photo from Prospect Park and titled it “Not Your Land” as a reminder that this land in NYC has, and will, always belong to the Lenape people.
