Pave Paradise Put up a Parking Lot

I chose this photo because I always will walk or drive by it. It is on Sunset, very close to my house, it is an abandoned hotel. An artist later painted it and the palm trees surrounding it white. My dad always found the building very interesting, along with what the artist has done to it. I have been viewing it for years now, and I thought that I should use it for the photo project. I thought it would be a good way to bring about lots of topics. During Thanksgiving break, I visited my grandparents in San Francisco. I had an amazing time there with them, and we did what we all love to do together, sing. My grandfather sang to me a song that I have never heard of that I really thought about. Big Yellow Taxi, I think that the story from that is very interesting and how true it is. “You don’t know what you got till it's gone” is like taking things for granted. Also “pave paradise, put up a parking lot” and other lines to talk about the environment and what we do to it. This photo made me think about that.
