This movement of “Peace and Unity” is heavily influenced by the 1960s movement “Peace and Love”. The “Peace and Love” movement famously started at Woodstock, which was an event that brought different groups of people together through the rough times of tensions, war and racial violence. The idea of “Peace and Unity” is focused on the notable division within our country today. With the protesting and political uproar from the elections, we as a nation desire to be at peace with each other and to unify no matter our beliefs, politics, gender, or race.
