My topic of “in pursuit of” is clean beaches. I picked that because most of the people litter on the beach and it affects the environment and it can toxicate the water or animals like a mutation and the trash can kill animals or make them sick cuz they will think its food they will choke or get stuck inside if they eat it or they could get stuck on the sea animal and it could kill them or make it difficult to move and the trash could even ruin a food chain and that’s bad because the apex predator or the consumers could starve to death and we could get sick cuz of the polluted water. The information I know about the beaches having trash is that it makes the beaches look bad and it hurts the animals and kills them because they mistake the trash for food and eat it and animals get stuck with the trash like up their nose or other parts like that video of the turtle. They found a turtle with a straw up its nose. Fishing nets left or lost in the ocean by fishermen ghost nets can entangle fish, dolphins, sea turtles, sharks, dugongs, crocodiles, seabirds, crabs, and other creatures. These nets restrict movement, causing starvation, laceration, and infection, and, in animals that breathe air, suffocation.
