“Serenity at its Height” by Eve S.

Eve S. (she/her/hers) 14 years old To explore my in pursuit of topic in my artwork, I ventured to my local park to find inspiration. My mom and sister had also gone up to the park to play some soccer. While my family was walking up to the park, my sister had gotten in her head, thinking very negatively. My mom explained to her that if she were to think negatively, she wouldn’t be mindful of the things and people around her. She compared my sister to a tree, they can grow fast with flowers, but it's whether how long they can stay strong that is important. There I found a tree, that unlike the others, still had flowers on it. This was interesting to me because this tree was the most stable and largest one of them all. It got me thinking about when you keep your mindspace clear, you are given more opportunities to grow and succeed. The words on this photograph are important because it signifies how this tree didn’t interfere with anything else and was peaceful. Therefore, it grew the fastest with the longest- lasting flowers.
