Often when people think about education, the children involved are left out of the picture. Parents become selfish in these times of academic conflict. They fight for what will benefit THEM, not their children. Attacks can be directed towards the teachers that parents believe are not helping their children. This isn't a message to teachers - but parents. This piece was inspired as our town struggled with a teacher being removed from her position by ruthless parents. I hope to bring the students back into the picture while hiding the subject's face ~ the problem doesn't affect just ONE student.
