Through this piece, I wanted to highlight the effects COVID has had on my life, and those around the World. This virus has separated friends and family from one another and has forced individuals into isolation. I wanted to highlight the news headlines in this piece because the World has been anxiously watching every update, counting every new case, and waiting for any source of hope for our normal to return. We have lost our sense of identity, covering half of our faces with a cloth mask, and praying this nightmare will end. I am in pursuit of happiness and hope to find comfort in this new normal.
