In the media the simple things in life are considered cliche. But this pandemic has showed us that these simple things matter so much more. Mundane things are now a luxury. The saying “stop and smell the flowers” has been on my mind a lot. So my theme is The Pursuit of Simplicity. Like everyone I want to hug my friends, eat out, see a movie, and celebrate my high school graduation properly. But I know that we have to be patient. So I stop to smell the flowers. I know that I am lucky to still have food and shelter, I tell my loved ones I love them more, I go for walks and listen to my favorite songs. So for now I am content with The Pursuit of Simplicity internally and am waiting until I can safely enjoy The Pursuit of Simplicity externally.
