I chose the colonization theme for my image because those lands belonged to the Native Americans. Europeans stole the land from Native Americans, but in the process they did much more. Europeans are from the other side of the world but Native Americans have lived on these lands for thousands of years. The only way the Europeans were going to win was with violence. They killed many many Native Americans in order to control their lands. Not only did they die from their weapons they also fell ill with the diseases that the Europeans brought.
