Unity beyond Duality
Symbolically, I chose arrowed triangles in the colors red, yellow, black, and white to represent racial/ethnic differences. They all point towards a center point diffusing into a grey area...symbolizing that despite difference there is similarity at the very essence. The outside perimeter is blue and green representing the earth and sky, but also a boundary symbolizing a collective group. Beyond that, to the right, is the sun, and to the left is the moon. The sun and moon represent duality-a concept we struggle with here in the US. There is neither good nor evil, but both-coexisting as one. To accept the existence and non-existence of both is to release judgement. We need to understand this balance to transcend the duality that creates “us” versus “them”.
